15 Tweets: Wes, Thor, Shearer, Dietrich, Bond Girls
It's that time again. An incredibly random collection of the week's best showbiz themed tweets. Or at least the best ones that we happened to see on our timeline at incredibly random times of the day. Herewith a dozen byte-sized amusements curated just for the TFE crowd for those with similarly truncated attention spans that made us laugh or think or nod this week.
Please note that we already shared the Julianne-centric tweet from our friend Ali Arikan that wins the week all weeks which is why you don't see it here.
Anyway, proceed...

Adding MISS BALA's Stephanie Sigman to a cast that already has Monica Bellucci & Lea Seydoux makes James Bond kind of beside the point.

Watching The Barretts of Wimpole Street. Norma Shearer spends the whole first 40 minutes on a settee. It's thrilling.

BEST TELEVISION TWEETS O' THE WEEK
Because post Oscar we end up staring at that a lot. The television, not twitter.

Some good ones. Especially the last two.
I just want to say how much I LOVE this series, as someone who has steadfastly refused to join Twitter since its inception - basically I feel the same as that last tweet. But I always have fun reading these posts. So thank you, Nathaniel for curating them!
I have had the exact same thought as Sunil Patel the last few years. I just literally don't understand it. I just literally don't understand men that still only see women as girlfriends, wives, daughters, etc., basically as just in relation to the men around them. It's just such a huge, huge blindspot that they can't recognize half of all human beings as independent...human beings.
Since you needed affirmation on your banner, I thought I'd better come here and say that I really enjoy this series and want you to keep it. I second denny's remarks. It might not generate a ton of comments, but it is much enjoyed.

Me too. It never fails to baffle me that so many writers and screenwriters can't seem to conceive of women who don't revolve around men or fit into some simple stereotype yet can write complex male characters.
