Knock Knock. Who's Guest Blogging?

A Scene From PRISONERS (2013)

It's David Dastmalchian! Perhaps you don't know his name yet but you probably know his face (The Dark Knight, Prisoners, TV guest spots and two movies this summer: Marvel's Ant-Man and the SXSW sensation Animals). He'll be here in a week or so taking over the blog for a day.

Please welcome this rising actor! Got any questions?

YAY! He was sooo creepy-good in Prisoners.

I loved him in the Prisoners. If I had a question, I think it would be surrounding how does he prepare for such pivotal roles that don't get a lot of back-story within the script. Does he develop them himself-you can see in The Dark Knight and Prisoners that these are characters that are fully-fleshed and clearly have an entire other movie in them, and so I'm curious about his process in this aspect. Very excited!

John T -- right. That's why he's been nominated not once, but twice for Film Bitch Awards right here in his still new career. I know a few things he's going to write about and i hope y'all love it.

His entire sequence in "Prisoners" was the most disturbing part of a deeply disturbing film. Shiver!

Oh, hey! He's wonderful onscreen and also very handsome, an obviously important criteria for any writer. Welcome!

So excited about this! I agree with everyone that he is great. Thrilled to see that Animals will make it to Chicago in May.
