"Brother. Mother. It was they who led me to your door"
I somehow missed the news that mother & son Jessica Chastain and Tye Sheridan of Terrence Malick's spiritual family epic The Tree of Life were briefly reunited at Comic Con -- Jess posted this picture. Lovely, both of them.
When they made that movie neither were stars and now they're both working non-stop. Tye Sheridan is currently on your movie screens in The Stanford Prison Experiment and we'll see him next year as everyone's stick-up-his-butt mutant superhero, Scott Summers (aka Cyclops) in X-Men Apocalypse. Chastain will next be seen in.... well, whichever movie comes out next. She's probably in that one.

Gorgeous!
They need to do another movie together. All five actors playing the family had great chemistry. The scene when the family is having dinner and everything explodes is the best part of the movie. It felt so lived-in and in-the-moment kind of real. Pitt, Chastain, and all three boys were remarkable.
He got older and she got younger. Tree of life indeed.
To me, that just doesn't look like Jessica Chastain at all!
Tye is cute.
I always thought the boy who played the guitar playing child in Tree of Life was the best. The Brad Pitt look-a-like.
