Viggo's impassioned support of Jill Stein depressed me this weekend.
Oof. Brutal. It's like finding out people you care about are ailing.
His character was All in Zoolander 2 because he's all. Strangé is Grace Jones' character in the Eddie Murphy movie Boomerang.
Can't wait to hear this on my way to work tomorrow - I just saw The Handmaiden and want to hear some analysis.
After your passing comments on 'Julieta' I'm really intrigued about how you said you guys feel quite differently about Almodovar. I'm guessing Nick's is not as big a fan?
Carlos -- he tends to rate his movies in the "B" area. but Pedro is my favorite living director so it's quite a big difference.
I didn't like "Oldboy" so I was wary of "Handmaiden", but now I suppose I will give it a try.
Love your support fro Melanie & that bit of gossip on Miranda Richardson. Personally I wouldn't mind if Richardson had an Oscar.
Thanks for the podcast, nice to hear that this will be happening more frequently.
Great podcast! But I wish you guys had allowed yourselves to speak more freely about "The Handmaiden." I respect that you're considerate of spoilers, but I think it's fair to say that anyone choosing to listen to a podcast of this movie can't really complain if you talk about some of the plot details. It's a movie that definitely benefits from more specific explanations but you both handled it pretty well.
Still loling at "The Tildaness".
@3rtful: I'm an idiot! I'm going to plead insanity based on early morning recording. What a dumb.mistake, though.
@Carlos: Nathaniel's right about my usual Almodóvar reactions, but I loved Julieta! So, we kind of role-swapped on this one.
Thanks guys for another great podcast!
I promise I'm not a Thanksbot. I just usually have nothing to say :/
I don't know if I have any reason to watch Dr Strange. I mean, I already believe in chakras.. :p
