Just started binging the first season on Wednesday. In love with it. Who didn't tell me Deborah Ann Woll (my favorite part of True Blood and I was a steadfast fan) was in it? I'm gonna try and make my way to the second season at some point this weekend so I can participate in the series.
This is going to be very difficult, but I will try. I already have a few ideas though. I think I know what I would have chosen in season 1 and I'm fairly certain I have ideas for Jessica Jones which I might throw in as bonus shots just because I think it will be fun.
Chris James- Deborah Ann Woll was also my favorite thing about True Blood. I love her in this show too. I love her character arc over the course of the first season.
I just finished the second season. A chunk of it, episodes 5-9, fixed almost everything wrong with the first season. But then there's the other 8 episodes to consider. They're very slightly better than S1, but they still indulge in that opener's problems. Overall, though, let's call this season a pleasantly surprising B+. Next Season on Daredevil: Matt Murdock's law career is temporarily over while he tries to patch things up with Foggy, Foggy Nelson starts working with Jeri Hogarth but eventually goes back to his friend, Karen Page's reporter career has failed off-screen and she's starting to get into hard drugs and, in the season finale, goes porn star, The Punisher is off murdering up a storm, and will get the fifth Netflix solo series, and Elodie Yung's Elektra is going to show up in the mid season for a mini arc. I think that's everything, at least as far as already introduced characters are concerned.
Note: What I said above isn't my wish, it's just my reasonable guess. But my WISH, because they nailed the legal drama, is for Daredevil S3 to actually let the Ninjas and Gangsters stuff go on ice for a season long Murdock v Walters trial with done in one supervillains for flavour. You know...Actually let this have the full rhythm of a classic TV show for once and not the rhythm of a flabby 13 hour movie.
