Dearest Reader

Dearest reader,
Would you possibly be free to meet for tea and a screening of Carol on this evening? Ritz Tower Hotel, Sunday, April 17, 6:30 pm.

I understand if you cannot.

(You may always join in from home, either with your personal copy of the film, or by watching it on Amazon VideoiTunes, or VUDU.)

Is there going to be a TFE community screening? Because I am in...at least by DVD as I sadly am no longer living in NYC.

How many people can we get to watch the film simultaneously internationally?

I'll join in from Manchester, UK.

There should be a simulcast event for The Film Experience's LA friends over here as well.

What if, instead, I just alternate between the newly dropped trailers for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and Penny Dreadful's season 3? We'll likely experience a great many similar feelings at roughly the same time.

I would totally be in on this except the DVD ISN'T RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA UNTIL LATE MAY AND IT'S KILLING ME.

But thank you very much for the invite.

Seriously... isn't it time to move on? It was an OK movie. It didn't win Oscars. But it didn't deserve to win any. It got the nominations (even more than) it deserved. Let it go. PLEASE!

Well, I'm in! April 17 is a sacred Carol holiday -- their tea room meeting, Rooney's birthday, and, of course, the day of epic love scene filmage.

Hit Me With Your Best Shot for Carol would be so amazing if only to see if we could completely recreate the film through the shots since every frame is so gorgeous and worth showing off.

Yes, Yes I would!

Is this happening? Are those who can't make it to the Ritz going to live blog their Carolwatch or should we do it on Twitter? Who's game?
