Elisabeth Moss Rocks The Bleeder

A clip should give us a small taste that makes us want to see the movie it’s from. Unlike trailers, clips can’t be manipulated with mood and music, which is why sometimes they are jarring and don’t work out of context. But not this clip.
This clip from The Bleeder has it all. It’s like a short film with a complete story. Even if you knew nothing about the movie, you’d still get a full portrait of two of its character. One is a philandering husband (Liev Schreiber), the other is his wife (Elisabeth Moss) catching him in flirting with another woman in a diner. We know the setting because of the spot on accent from Moss. And watching Moss talk we understand a lot about this marriage.
The Bleeder is a biopic of boxer Chuck Wepner who is the real life inspiration behind Sylvester Stallone's Rocky Balboa. Schreiber is Wepner, Moss is one of his wives, Naomi Watts is another. The director is Philippe Falardeau (Monsieur Lazhar). The film will be playing both Venice and Toronto film festivals in the coming few weeks. However before this clip it was very low on my radar of upcoming movies. Now I really want to see it. If only to spend more time with that intriguing character Moss plays. Let's hope there's much more of Moss insulting Schreiber and telling it like like it is in that fabulous accent.

Judging solely by this clip, it looks like this movie cares about giving its actresses some meat to chew on.
Yes. Monsieur Lazhar was *so* good, that alone would be enough to pique my interest.
Would look forward to seeing her -- engaging clip from her terrific acting, though I haven't decided if I can see this movie. Was really disappointed to have watched Mr. Schreiber use Ali's death shortly after he passed to push his movie The Bleeder in two separate interviews he was doing for Ray Donovan during the emmy "for your consideration" round of promo he did. Was truly shocked and clearly haven't quite gotten over it.

This is a very well acted scene by Miss Moss; however, she does not get the accent right. It's over exaggerated. I should know. I grew up in Bayonne, NJ, where Chuck Wepner hails. For this reason, I'm very interested in seeing this film. Also, I'm looking forward to seeing more from Elisabeth Moss. She first caught my attention in Get Him to the Greek.
How did someone put Elizabeth Moss and Cate Blanchett in the same movie and not give the former anything to do?
The scene in the bleeder with Elizabeth Moss is good ...but why she getting all this build up for this one particular scene I would love to see the rest of this movie and see how good this motion picture is because for the life of me I can't understand why all this build-up of one scene that she did the bleeder she must had to push her agent more so she can get a better part ..and her publicity agent as well Lord knows she's not a big favorite at the box office when she went solo with the Queen of Earth
