Cast this: the film version of Hamilton.
When I saw Laura Linney in the trailer for Sully, my heart sank because it saddened me to see another great actress stuck in those stock "wife worrying over the phone" roles. When do you think Hollywood will ever get tired of seeing older women portrayed as supportive wifes or mothers and let more of them be in charge of their own stories?
Have you seen the first photos from "Lion"? What do you think of Kidman's new hairdo?
What character actor's performance was so good it made you go from "hey, it's that guy" to "who is THAT?" and start following their work?

Social media is begging Hollywood to consider nonwhite talent for awards and jobs. How can you make a quantum leap for trans people when they're not as close as they think to their rainbow of acceptance and integration?

Do you have inside scuttlebutt about why the academy denies the Doris Day honorary? It's mystifying. I used to hear that it was because they thought she wouldn't show up, but that sounds like nonsense. Debbie Reynolds didn't show up last year and everyone survived!!

What do you think of Jared Leto? I find him insufferable. And he has annoyed me not just of late, but ever since he started his oscar campaign for Dallas Buyers Club. But now I can't seem to be able to hide from him. He is everywhere. I can't check any of my favorite movie news sources without hearing about his method acting. Personally I think he is the absolute worst kind of celebrity, completely manufacturing his public persona and annoying the shit of me. I want to watch the Suicide Squad but I'm walking out if there's too much Leto. But he's everywhere! what am i missing?
