that dress is gorgeous.. Like a 2016 version of the Keira Knightley ATONEMENT dress :)
Rare for an overdue performer to win an overdue award for a juggernaut performance head and shoulders above worthy competition.
I love Sarah Paulson. About time.
/3rtful - unfortunately so very true.
Every photo of her from that night is amazing, but this takes the cake
She was the best thing in 13 Years a Slave. Let's see if the Oscars can play make-up, too.
Just gasp.
Love her so much - not only was she the best thing in
12 Years A Slave - Ken S, it was "only" 12 years! - she was also best actor in Martha Marcy May Marlene, even though Elizabeth Olsen and John Hawkes got all of the attention.
And she's so good in O.J. - the most deserved win in many many years.
Nathaniel, have you still not seen the show?
I seem to remember you asking if anybody knew where you could watch it - I hope you've seen it by now, as it's a really good show, and not just because of her - the writing/directing is really strong, too. And Sterling K. Brown and Courtney B. Vance are phenomenal as well.
And yeah, it was an awesome dress Sarah wore.
Kirsten Dunst's dress was HOT for obvious reasons, but Sarah's dress was more elegant.
Her latest, stellar performance in the new blockbuster--"The People vs. Artistic Injustice"
Ulrich
Well there goes my street cred
Now we can talk about a great acting job!!!!
Overdue.... Owing.... these are such stupid words to attach to any actor or actress...
@ /3rtful - so very true, most overdue wins feel like they fall into either plain respectable choices (Jeff Bridges in Crazy Heart) or damn right consolation prizes (Al Pacino in Scent of a Woman).
@ Mia - the dress is wonderful! And I like the Atonement reference, too. I can't not see it now!
On a related note, no Emmys fashion post from Jose this year?
I think she's fantastic, so I'm happy for her even though I haven't seen The People Vs. OJ Simpson.
And that look -- WOW. The dress, the hair, the earrings. She looked exceptional. This is one of my favorite red carpet looks in recent memory.
