She is so loved by her peers!
Watched Eyes Wide Shut and Flirting for the first time ever in honor of her. The least I could do.
Imagine everyone thinking you'd reached your critical peak at age 35 only to fuck them all up and do it again at age 50?!
It's crazy that one of the best close up scenes ever (Kidman at the opera in Birth) is so beautifully shot and not at all totally obvious "SEE MY EMOTIONS UP IN YOUR FACE!" a la Les Miserables.
What is amazing to me is that Birth was so controversial when it was released and now you can barely ever find a naysayer. Incredible.

You are absolutely right re: Birth. Has any other film of the '00s aged better? It's almost universally praised by major film critics and fans alike now, whereas back in 2004 it was so controversial, bombed at the box office (well, that's not that surprising), and the reviews were highly polarizing.
I love how Nicole has continuously said in interviews that it's one of the movies she's most proud of, and the one from her filmography that she wishes audiences were more familiar with. Such a masterpiece.
Not sure if she was loved by Julia when filming that forgettable movie. A little distraught over that piece of gossip, as those two (along with Cate and Meryl) are my two movie star goddesses.
