Top 5 Suits Cate Blanchett Wore to Promote Ocean's 8
by Murtada
Tonight’s the night! Ocean’s 8 starts playing and we will finally get the full fashion parade of Cate Blanchett’s costumes. Word is that she’s almost exclusively in suits. That wardrobe is already making the internet aflutter. But Cate has also promoted the film wearing suits to every premiere and press engagement. Her co-star Anne Hathaway said it best at the movie’s New York premiere Tuesday night:
Cate Blanchett has owned her lady suits this entire movie process up to now. She's that great of an actress. She's committed to her character. We wouldn't dare wear a suit for the premiere!"
So here are the top five suits Cate Blanchett wore promoting Ocean’s 8:
#5 - Today Show, designer unknown
This pale lavender number below is cute and all but it wins this placement because it was what Cate wore when she appeared alongside Sarah Paulson in the now viral non-interview at the Today show...
They teased each other about their awards "She didn't win for Carol", their sartorial style “get a stylist”, and many “your mom” jokes. They didn’t bother to tell us what the movie is about, but I’m sold. Tickets already bought.
#4 - Gucci at CinemaCon in Las Vegas
Cate kicked off the promo tour in this shiny white suit. Great start but better suits are coming our way.
#3 - Ferragamo at the film's Photo Call at the Met
How do you stand out among your co-stars? Wear a bright color, be in velvet.
#2 Armani track pajamas out on the town
We didn't even know track pajamas were a thing! And Giorgio Armani made them. OK. She looks amazing of course.
#1 - Missoni at New York premiere
Cate saved the best for last.
Bonus picture, all of the Ocean's 8 at the premiere.
Which of Cate's suits was your favorite?

I can't see anything beyond Sarah Paulson's Day Glo Diva Look and if you don't like it she can't help you with that..
@markgordonuk, you win the award (Cate lost for Carol). LOL
The purple suit. Seriously, she's rocking those suits.
I like all of the suits, except the multi-colored one. The gay rainbow flag stripes on the pants ruins it. Otherwise she looks fab. Especially like the velvet suit. Really, she is so pretty and in such a natural way, she can wear almost anything.
"Get me the #3 Ferragamo," sounds like something I'd love to hear her say in a movie. ;)
Love the blue Armani, but I actually think Anne Hathaway wins with her two looks.
Sorry to post here - and so late! - but I don't see an Ocean's 8 review anywhere.
For me, the most exciting part was the four "old" women! What a cornucopia of character actressing. Dana Ivey! Mary Louise Wilson! Elizabeth Ashley! And That Girl herself, Marlo Thomas.
If they do a sequel (pray for a new director), why can't the ladies get an elder stateswoman the way the men had with Gould and Reiner?
