"get paid $1000 to watch all 20 Marvel movies before Avengers Endgame hits"
that's nowhere near enough
Sigourney Weaver also sent the High School a message.
Over the past 20 years I think Fox did a fine job with the mutants. X2, Logan, First Class, DOFP are far better films than most of the dull formulaic films of DIsney's Marvel. Hell even their garbage films like Wolverine Origins are fun to watch to make fun of, can't say the same for Marvel's garbage films like The Dark World or Civil War.
Someone on this site talked about Eva Green earlier. They pondered whether she actively sought out projects that were bad so she could elevate them, or if she is just so naturally great that everything around her just looks bad compared to her. Her greatest skill is knowing what tone her performance needs to be to match the film.
Wait...what? Baz is doing an Elvis biopic??!!
Joanne -- that was my initial reaction to but then i thought i must have missed some obvious news during oscar seeason and didn't want to sound ignorant because none of the articles about tom hanks casting are like "omg baz is doing elvis!"
Very interested in seeing that Mary Kay Place film “Diane.” Feels like she’s been a very reliable presence in films throughout the years, so it’s about time she got her own critically acclaimed leading film role. I wonder if IFC Films can campaign her some notices at the end of the year.
The DIY spirit of those high school students should be praised and encouraged
George P : the reviews are there. Only time will tell.
Nat: I'd honestly expect Deadpool 3 before the next "main" X-Men movie. If Marvel suddenly decides they have a July/August 2020 slot again? That's what it's going to be. A normal Marvel movie would absolutely be competing with Jungle Cruise. Deadpool 3? NOPE.
