Poll: Voyage of the Damned (1976) it is.
We shared a list of new to streaming titles and then polled you on which new-to-streaming titles that Nathaniel had never seen did he have to watch and write about? The winner by a considerable margin was Voyage of the Damned (1976). This all star WW II era drama about a ship carrying German Jewish refugees away from Nazi Germany was nominated for 3 Oscars (including Supporting Actress) and 6 Golden Globes (including Best Picture Drama) and is now streaming on HBO. So watch it this week and we'll discuss on Monday February 24th.

NATHANIAL, you're such a fun guy. I really can't imagine you'll like the joyless slog that it VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED. The known-before-you-watch-the-movie fact that all the characters are destined for the death camps also makes it kind of hard to laugh at it as a camp fest. That said, I'm interested in what he has to say on this film, and really, anything.

Daniella—Whatever the merits of this film, it’s incredibly presumptive to think that a new watcher can’t get any reward from this expansive story. It’s an important piece of history. Don’t be so dismissive.
Besides, Nathaniel didn't participate in that particular smackdown, so I am pretty sure this would give him a paragraph (more would be cheating this exercise) on that very fascinating and iconic race.
