Ke Huy Quan continues his Best Supporting Actor dominance with two more prizes for "EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE"In today's critics awards news, Las Vegas Film Critics Society (LVFCS), the Southeastern Film Critics Association (SEFCA), and Washington DC Area Film Critics Association (WAFCA) announced their wins. SOUTHEASTERN FILM CRITICS ASSOCIATION (SEFCA)
They've been giving out prizes since 1992 when James Ivory's Howards End prevailed. The group has just over 70 members and represents critics who live in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. (So some of their members are part of other film critics organizations too.)

Lifetime Achievement Award - JAMIE LEE CURTIS

The Las Vegas Film Critics Society has been handing out the "Sierra" prizes since 1997 when Titanic took their top "Sierra" prize. They have 17 members. In addition to their annual film-centric prizes each year they give out a William Holden Lifetime Achievement Award. This year that's going to the one and only Jamie Lee Curtis who just snagged her 8th Golden Globe nomination for Everything Everywhere All At Once.

TÁR already won the biggest and most prestigious critics prize (the NYFCC) so I'm not that miffed by these EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE wins. I appreciate the creativity and absurdist comedy though it's hardly the best of the year.

Cate Blanchett won both New York and LA. She's clearly the Best Actress front-runner, with Michelle Yeoh very close behind.

I agree with Ryan, Everything Everywhere All At Once is hardly the best movie of the year. I remember being so excited to finally watch it (considering the glowing reviews), but I was underwhelmed and can't really call it a masterpiece. So many unnecessary fighting scenes. It's creative and funny, but I can't see myself rewatching it.
