So glad Buckley Sally Hawkinsed her weigh into supporting but no Plimpton or Negga stings .
Jessie is a great vocalist now Amy Adams is not young enough to play the role could the long gestitaing Janis Joplin project get off the ground with Buckley in the lead.
I'm so happy Kirsten Dunst is finally Oscar-nominated. I mean, the Cannes win for Melancholia was an achievement as it is, but this was long overdue.
Had she been nominated for Interview with the Vampire or Melancholia (as she should've been), I think this year would be a slam dunk win. I do think she has a shot, though... but I do think it's leaning towards DeBose.
If she doesn't win, I hope she can win for a leading performance.
For all of them except DeBose I think at least 2% of “how’d they get nominated” is Negga Snub.
I'm fucking happy for Kirsten Dunst. She should've had nominations for several films as I was upset she got overlooked for Melancholia. I hope she wins though I am more happy she got nominated and hope more good things for her to come.
Plus, I really hope she plays Mary Jane Watson one last time and save Tobey from a bad guy and then say... "I'm so over this damsel-in-distress shit".
Friendly reminder that Buckley replaced Negga, which is not right, but it's OK. And Dench replaced Balfe, which is a total category neutral.
The first Afro-Latina to be nominated was Rosie Perez, I guess.
Jessie's nom is so cool. Let her sing Glasgow!
I predicted Negga's snub. Had Dowd over her.
I'm totally OK with Dench. She's the MVP in Belfast and this is probably her last nomination. Show some respect, Film Twitter. Never fully bought the Balfe is a lock narrative. As a kid of the 80s, I still see her as a TV star.
