'Crimes of the Future' Tease & Poster

It is time to stop seeing.
It is time to stop speaking.

It is time to start obsessing...

David Cronenberg's latest is opening in Cannes but it'll be in theaters for the rest of us by June. A birthday gift for me? You shouldn't have, David!

Actually he should have! It's been a long wait. This is his first film in seven years after Maps to the Stars (2014) which won Julianne Moore Best Actress at Cannes before her Oscar run for Still Alice that same film year.

I spent my pandemic on a Cronenberg deep dive (kicked off partly because of the TFE New Classics series.)

Needless to say, as a Canadian, a film fan and, now, a Cronenberg scholar, I AM READY FOR THIS.

it has a terrible vibe to "existenZ" which I did not like at all...

I extremely doubt, this is going to get anywhere close to Oscar (re: Titane)

FUCK YES!!!!! I will definitely see this. This looks like pure Cronenberg! I hope there's a nice dedication to his wife and his sister Denise who was his longtime costume designer.
