Introducing the Smackdown Panel for '97

We were off to a late start on this Smackdown season so we called in some all stars from previous episodes for encore chatter! On the next episode of the Smackdown & Companion Podcast we'll be talking about Joan Cusack in In & Out, Gloria Stuart in Titanic, Julianne Moore in Boogie Nights, Kim Basinger in L.A. Confidential, and Minnie Driver in Good Will Hunting. You'll be hearing from...

LOUIS VIRTEL
Louis Virtel co-hosts Keep It "a show about pop culture and politics" and is a writer and performer on Jimmy Kimmel Live. He first rose to prominence as a contestant on game show Jeopardy!. Virtel won an army of fans after throwing out a sassy retro-cool snap after answering a Daily Double correctly, and the clip soon went viral racking up more than 3 million YouTube views. He has appeared as a pundit on The Bio Channel, CNN and HLN and on Chelsea Lately. [Twitter | Instagram]

KYLE BUCHANAN
Kyle Buchanan is a reporter for the New York Times and serves as The Projectionist, the paper’s awards-season column. I really hope Joan Cusack wins this one... comedy is underaprecciated, and not only her performance, the whole film is pure genius, playing camp as a razor edge tool for a saitre that is able to target mainstream audiences...

Frank Oz, probably the most underrated author I can think of.
