Curio: Oscar Sweets

Alexa here.  Even though I can't claim to have been eating steamed veggies and following the Tracy Andeson method for the last few months, I always use Oscar night as an excuse to indulge. I made these coconut shortbread Black Swan pops for our gathering this year.  (And yes, I appreciate the irony of indulging my sweet tooth by eating stick-thin prima ballerinas.)

I'm always curious what other Oscar goodies were served, so I've been trolling the internet.

More sweets after the jump

This cupcake mashup of The Social Network and Black Swan was cute...

...and apparently someone ate these 127 Hours severed arm cupcakes.

As always, Eleni's bakery in New York offered their Best Picture and acting nominee cookie sets.

But the girly-girl in me loves these Oscar gown cupcakes from Mon Petit Cupcake in Minnesota the most.  Perfect for a red (carpet) table runner.

i know. i could eat them all up. It's so obvious that BLACK SWAN would be the movie to inspire people at their parties. You know we'll have another round of BLACKSWANMANIA again come Halloween.
