I'll put you all out of your misery. Dave has it. It's "The River of No Return" ... robert mitchum is in the first image and those are Marilyn Monroe's shoes in the final scene.

OMG I knew I had seen this movie! I always associate the end with Mitchum and Monroe in the wagon about to leave and not the shoe shot. Finally one I've seen and I still didn't get it! LOL
