Re: Goodman: I don't think that is a necessary case. Just remember Monique. Certainly, it helps to do lip service, but if the performance is great, and the actor is as respected as John Goodman is, the Oscar is still possible.

Daniel Craig is a fine actor but he is an awful Bond. Humorless, charmless, blond, lacking in irony and has seen too many Jason Bourne movies.
