Julianne Moore... Rock Star?

Are you buying Julianne Moore as a Rock Star? (Click over to Vulture for "Hook and Line" from What Maisie Knew). She's not quite Juliette doing PJ in Strange Days but still pretty convincing, don't you think?

It's a hell of a role. A supporting role, but a terrific part.

I'm really curious to see her in "What Maisie Knew," which is opening in New York today to strong reviews in the NYT. (see A.O. Scott's review here: http://movies.nytimes.com/2013/05/03/movies/what-maisie-knew-stars-julianne-moore-and-steve-coogan.html?hpw).

Excited for her -- looks like a strong role!

I love the book, and wish they were faithful to the original. Moore always looks so good in period pieces.

mesmerizing, though I'm not quite sure about the singing.

Well, What Maisie Knew is getting pretty good reviews. 82 % at Rotten Tomatoes. Raves from The New York Times and The New York Observer (calling it "one of the best films of the year"). I wish this would get some awards push. Moore NEEDS more awards attention.

BTW I can't wait to see her work with David Cronenberg, Maps to the Stars, which films this summer.
