Teehee! Oh god I watched The Tourist last night and he seems to have completely lost that ability. At one point, in what is supposed to be some sort of big emotional reveal, he says "but I love you" and I couldn't help but grimace. He was just a hollow with bad hair in that film. What happened to him?

The Self-Styled Siren article is wonderful. Must-read indeed.

Well, whatever the Kon Tiki directors manage to pull out will be better than what we got last time. Ron Marshall clearly had no idea how to do an action movie. Or a romantic movie with any approximation of chemisty. Or a thriller of twisting allegiances. In just over two hours, we get NOTHING. And, like Superman Returns, NOTHING is the worst thing you can deliver in an action movie.

Word is Depp is out of the Bulger biopic b/c he wouldn't accept the cut to his 20 million dollar salary. Looks like Depp's become a greedy paycheck queen. Sad.

Regina King is looking amazing nowadays, isn't she? Theo don't know how good he had it! I miss "Southland" already. :-(

1. Regina King has come a long way since playing Brenda on "227." Why is she not working more in film?!

2. Was there not a better stock photo of Christian Borle, or does Broadway World simply hate him?

3. If Joe Manganiello is thirty-six, then I'm 16, and considering I'm old enough the be the father of a teenager...

4. The writer of that i09 article is dead on, and not only with respect to comic books. Those faults are evident in media across the board. Number 3 comes to mind every time I consider Christopher Nolan's Batman films.

"Johnny Depp leave the Whitey Bulger biopic Black Mass... no reasons have been given but I'm guess playing real humans is too scary for him!"

what about the sci-fi serious drama transcendence which he is shooting these days? he plays a normal human being in it and you obviously haven't seen the rumndiary, the tourist, pulic enemies, secret window, finding neverland, the libertine, once upon a time in mexico, blow, from hell, choclat, etc

Number 3 in that article on comic books is so so so true. "Grim and angsty=tough and sophisticated". Can't wait for that trend to die.
