Tilda: Oh, Mr Miyazaki, it´s such a pleasure to meet you. I even styled my hair in the shape of Howl's Moving Castle in your honor.
Miyazaki: I know, Tilda, I could tell straight away.

The hair-do looks more like an hommage to The Wind Rises.

Here's my caption:

I suspect that My Neighbor Totoro is her favorite Miyazaki film (and not just because she's being kind to Totoro, who is standing next to her in the photo). Why? Because she more or less said so in an article that appeared in Newsweek where she listed her 5 favorite films on human kindness. http://www.newsweek.com/tilda-swintons-5-favorite-tales-human-kindness-65943

My Neighbor Totoro

“The practical magic of childhood: two little sisters move to a new home in the country with their father, and their mother’s in hospital. New school, new neighbors, house and wood spirits. Hayao Miyazaki’s universe is reliably recognizable precisely because of the ease with which it accepts the wonder at every turn that being 5 (or 10) entails. At its heart, of course, is the bond of love, the infallible wisdom of nature, and the true company of invisible friends.”

As wonderful and inventive as Tilda is can't you imagine that she started out as something Miyazaki drew that through some Pygmalion-esque magic came to life to became the world-renowned actress we know today. Also doesn't that sound like a good idea for Miyazaki's next film when he un-retires again (fingered crossed)

"I have heard so many wonderful things about you from my sister Yubaba"

"Please, Miyazaki-san. If I am nominated, will you design my dress?"

You must revenge on Woody and Buzz's names.

TS: "Please, sir, you can't retire until you draw me into an animated long feature film titled 'The Woman who Fell to Earth'"
