Last Thingz - Missi's Farewell
The Missi Pyle Experience is a wrap.
Before I go, I want to give y'all a sentence or two about eight photos, a few of which Nathaniel asked me about.
Tony Shalhoub is a fucking dream boat. This movie was the best experience of my life. Also every day Alan Rickman sat and ate lunch with us like a real human being, not in his trailer. He is like a beacon from heaven. I am so lucky I got to do this movie.
[Gina Gershon and Joan Rivers after the jump... ]
Those are my boobs. Well. the part you can see...
Nathaniel asked me "How drunk were you...?"
Oh my god. My BFF Christina Moore and I went to Vegas and were looking for someone to give us a free dinner. They will do that sometimes. Anyway. we got invited to Amy Smart's birthday party. I had never even met Amy Smart. They gave us a bunch of free food. They would come and take a picture of us eating and or drinking it and then they literally took it away. It was humiliating. Now i just go and pay for my food.
Oh my god. I cant believe I didn't mention this! I also have a movie coming up Directors Cut. A crowd funded movie within a crowd funded movie written by Penn Jillette and directed by Adam Rifkin. I play Missi Pyle in the film within the film. I get stalked by Penn's character and he kidnaps me and makes me reenact scenes from the movie within the movie with him in the basement. HAHAHAHA. I have NO idea what to expect from this film. It was the craziest experience of my life. There is NO ONE LIKE PENN JILLETTE. He is a master of EVERYThING
Gina Gershon. We did "Boeing-Boeing" together on Broadway. Then went to Puerto Rico to shoot this web series for Crackle called "The Cleaners". She wrote a spellbindingly insanely brilliant book about her cat called How I found my pussy and lost my mind. Or something. She is my spirit animal.
This photo is from my solo show "Sexy as Hell" that i did on a gay cruise. One night there was a costume party, it coincided with my show. So I wore this costume for my show that night. Also the costume I got from a promo I did with Joan Rivers for her live coverage of the Oscar preshow in 2012. She basically dresses me for the Oscars. It's adorable. As was Joan. I feel so lucky to have met her.
Here is a picture from the first moment I met her. She walked up to me and said:
"Oh honey. You are in that movie with that fucking dog. All of you have been taking it from that dog!!! Here honey why don't you give it to this dog.
I mean, really? Have you ever????
And finally... THE REAL SECRET TO GETTING AN OSCAR
Never give up, never surrender!

Thank you so much for your wonderful posts, you seem to live life with more spirit and gusto than we could have known. I hope you get another french film, and another trip to the Oscars.
You might also consider coming back for a supporting actress smackdown.
That was truly exceptional and such a blast to read. LOVED it.
I second a return for a smackdown. That would be fabulous.
Josie & the pussycats is the best movie ever!

An early Christmas gift indeed!
You're really spoiling us, Nathaniel!!! Can we get a John Waters experience someday?
Thanks Missi!
May your career forever thus be filled with more amazing character roles after this generous venture. You know, like a karma exchange... but better. :D
I don't know why I find that tidbit about Alan Rickman eating lunch with everyone "like a real human being" so goddamn hilarious, but I do. It makes me smile to think that Alan Rickman frolics with the mortals.
Thanks for your amazing, hilarious voice Missi! We loved it!
This has been a true joy.
