It's Happening Again... Dates For The Next Awards Season
Just when you thought you were safe... it's happening again. No sooner has Oscar season ended than the powers that be are setting dates for next season. Dates which will determine the schedules of virtually everyone in Hollywood. Do we already have to start thinking about this? Yes. Yes, we do.
SAG Awards® Committee Chair JoBeth Williams agrees that it's terrifying...
Oh calm down JoBeth. You've survived awards seasons before.

Does this mean that the Oscars will be in March again this year? I'm guessing they'll be in mid march due to the late SAG date.
Joe, no. I list the date right in the post!
Didn't read the whole thing through, did you Joe?
Oh no, sorry! Glad they're in February again!
"Just when you thought you were safe..."
Come on, Nathaniel. I can only speak for myself here (though I'm assuming that I'm not the only one who feels this way), but I feel much safer in awards season. Who says that "awards season" can't take up all four?
Rob -- it's true. "Oscar" is my safe word.
A friend of mine commented the other day: "Now Scarlett Johansson is pregnant, she'll get an Oscar nomination".
And then by looking at her 2014 filmography it seems her best shot is "Under the Skin". Will the AMPAS go for her after a wonderful 2013 or is "Under the Skin" too alternative for Oscar?
