Get Happy!

It's Judy Garland's birthday, after all! It oughta be a federal holiday in which everyone gets the day off to stay home and watch old MGM musicals. Who's with me? Let start a petition.

I'd sign on to that!!

TCM showed her films all morning and The Harvey Girls later tonight. Sadly no A Star Is Born nor I Could Go On Singing but a nice mix of better know titles, Easter Parade & For Me and My Gal, and obscure early films like Thoroughbreds Don't Cry & Everybody Sing. Great stuff!

I sat down to watch "Babes in Arms" today not even knowing it was her birthday. It must be some sort of film karma.
