The idea of picking an image is both exciting and daunting. It gives me a great reason to re-watch it (as if I needed a reason), but all of the imagery is so striking that it'll be hard to pick one image.

Joey... yes it's sort of a toss up between about 100 images but i hope that doesn't deter people.

I just need to get the screencap pulled properly. Can't wait for this one.

No CGI, just nature behaving its way.

Now I wish I found a good jpeg of the man walking in the field. The relief and pleasant surprise of that moment overwhelmed me.

I rented this because of this post - and I HATED it. What a bore of a film. If you're thinking of seeing it, do yourself a favor and don't.

Despite what some people say, I LOVED it. Best sci-fi film I've seen in quite some time. Don't let haters dissuade you from seeing it! Check out my review on it to see what I mean :)

Dino -- is one of those your "best" choice? (great images)

July 22, 2014 | Registered CommenterNATHANIEL R

Nat - I cannot make up my mind! At first I imagined them as a triptych because these themes and character roles kept showing up and in the film for me.. But then I realized how much I love other shots like the insect who seems so innocent and insignificant but then up close is clearly a violent mannered creature.. obviously has a representative/symbolic meaning, and since it comes so early as one of the first distinctive actions of the protagonist, I think its very important to the whole film... and then there's the face of the body still crying, and it resembles Scarlett.. so much there beyond the gorgeous composition, lighting and DoF...

Long story short, you pick one, I can't choose (the captions are to the right in the column in Picasa).

Thanks for noticing, I thought you didn't.
