Curio: Lair of Soveyshina

Alexa here with some movie crafts fit for Halloween. Russian artist Victoria Shakirova has been making dolls as long as she can recall.  She loves miniature dolls, friends that can stand near a computer monitor or on a bookshelf. She likes that they don't take up too much space, and small details are important to her.  She has a nice selection of film character dolls of a spookier variety, all for sale at her etsy shop

Babadook doll

Sadako doll (with tape)

Heath's Joker

Doof Warrior doll

You can see more of her dolls on her deviant art page and follow her on instagram.

Been thinking about watching this for the millionth time as my Halloween film this year. I feel the need for a more recent film than the classics. Thought of revisiting THE CANAL too. Of course I have to watch THE LEOPARD MAN every year at this time as well. Love me some Val Lewton and this is my personal fave that always holds-up. Then again if I want to scream I can just watch the last half-hour of BONE TOMAHAWK. That film wiped-me out and think it feels like a classic already.

Do you like " The Ghost Ship" one of Lewton's creepiest.
