She definitely looks the part.

She definitely looks the part.

As far as I'm concerned, Katie Holmes is the only Jackie Kennedy we need.
Joking, joking...yikes. Could you imagine?
First thought: They are making another biopic?
"I wish this was Rachel Weisz", thats my first thought.
(Probably my last, thought, too.)
First thought: "That's not Olivia Pope!"
AndrewK - That thought's always with me! ;)
YAS! Sue me people, but I love me some oscar winning actresses playing great women in history.
First thoughts: Where is the signature hat?.... Is that a white hat above her head or is it a halo or maybe part of the arch window.... OH well... she is crowned anyway...
First thought: Oh lord, the Kennedys again?
First thought: I'm still not convinced Natalie Portman has transitioned to a consistently engaging actress as an adult.
"Are they already rebooting Mad Men?"
It can't be worse than Diana or Grace of Monaco, right?
My first thought was; along with"Yay! She looks great!"; "Who's playing JFK?".
"Oh, that's cute, she's playing dress up", was my first honest thought lol.
BTW the movie is only supposed to cover her in the immediate aftermath of JFK's assassination, from what I recall reading the synopsis on The Black List from a couple years ago. So at least it's not a dreaded cradle-to-grave biopic.
When is this airing on Lifetime?
My first reaction was a groan, AGAIN, so unimaginative.
Then I saw it was Natalie Portman, and the same director who did Black Swan - well at least she can put that little girl voice of hers to more good use.
She looks the part? Really? My first thought was that she looks nothing like Jackie.
""I wish this was Rachel Weisz", thats my first thought."
This is ALWAYS the correct answer
First thought: Finally, a capable actress cast as Jackie.
It was a cranky, groan-like thought that evaporated before it even became language.
No one can ever duplicate the real Jackie. A true / one of a kind superstar Goddess. put a Chanel suit on these actresses - it doesn't work.
Natalie Portman (whom I have had a giant nerd crush on ever since Star Wars) is a great actress, but I feel she is too young to play this part. Maybe she is the actual age Jackie was at the time of the movie, but Portman just registers youth to me. She is like a female Dicaprio, still retaining youth and not looking their age. That isn't always a bad thing, but it can be distracting.
My first thought was REMEMBER PARKER POSEY IN HOUSE OF YES?
I wish Natasha the best.
She is working the look, the pose and the hand position in this video, starting at about 05:45.
Black Swan 2 : The First Lady Unravels
I thought she doesn't look as pale as she did as Queen Amidala. Would JF Kennedy for her? Don't know.
Are you Jackie or a Marilyn?
Pablo Larraín is the director. Respect.
Eh... It doesn't excite me.
She looks like a little girl dressing up in her mom's clothes. I don't think she fits the part at all.
More like Jaclyn Smith as Jackie than the real Jackie...
Parker Posey in House of Yes did this better.
Jeanne Tripplehorn came closest, but it's the voice that's always impossible to capture. Drew Barrymore caught the accent admirably as her relative.
Natalie Portman > Rachel Weisz. Discuss.
Also: Pablo Larrain?! Wow. Respect.
Parker Posey in The House of Yes was my second thought. Because of visual similarity, Rachael Leigh Cook in The House of Yes was my first thought.
I thought it was Simmons from Agents of Shield, who got stuck in a time eddy while she and Fitz were looking for a portal to that place.
Thanks for even noticing. If this and Jane Got a Gun fails, it's Netflix for me.
Deleted scene from Lee Daniels' The Butler?
goran - But Rachel Weisz is British and not as famous as Portman, ergo she must be better!
Lifetime's new opus "Jack and Jackie: A Love Story"
The suit's too big for her.
My first thought was: finally!
1: This is the famous script that was running around hollywood getting raves and waiting to be done.
2: The director! Yay!
3: It's one of those biopics that cover a short episode of the subject's life which is always better than the wholw life story. In this case the 4 days after JFK assesination (so nobody plays JFK you'all)
4: Natalie looks spot on in the first pic.
Billy -- brilliant!
Parker Posey in The House Of Yes was totally my first thought too - probably because of the framing, but also because there's a tiny part of me hoping to see Parker Posey in every photo on the Internet.
