Where's Michelle Pfeiffer's Birdman!?

Pfeiffer does not want a Birdman. Most of all, she does not need one.

Oh god. I can't be the only one who finds Keaton lethally sexy...

I love her face. So distinctive. And timeless.

marcelo -- rumor has it she's considering pilots right now so i would say she definitley needs a Birdman! knowing her very quesionable taste I assume whatever pilot she chooses will be well beneath her.

If she's doing TV, I hope it's something splashy a la Jessica Lange and Taraji... but she is married to Mr. Ally McBeal, so...

She's so *in* pop culture right now too... being namechecked in the opening of a #1 song.

When I say she does not need a Birdman, I mean she has made some great films and has delivered so many excellent performances that, at this point, it does not make any difference anymore.

Of course, I would love to see her in a great film with a great character such as Birdman, but, again, I'm happy so far. In fact, I wouldn't want her to work on something below her possibilities.

Be choosy and do not work.

Or

Amaze us again on something GREAT.

My vote for the most gorgeous actress of all time. And she's a fabulous actress as well--her Catwoman is one of my favorite performances ever.

I know she's done a few (terrible) things here and there the last several years, but it essentially feels like she's retired. I think she's beloved--her bombs haven't elicited the same "she's so over" criticisms that other actresses get (compare her to, say, Sharon Stone). I get the sense she could probably work whenever she wants to and is well connected/regarded, although good roles for beauty goddesses in her age bracket might be hard to come by.

If she does TV, I'd like to see her in a thoughtful HBO/Netflix production, and not some CBS crap that squanders her talents. Basically, I'd love to see her in something that allows her to be complicated.

And please please please stay away from American Horror Story. This last season was horrendous. I've truly enjoyed previous seasons, but even great talents like Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates came off poorly this year. That is truly a sinking ship.

Batman Return's might be Tim Burton's best film after Edward Scissorhands and Ed Wood.

As sad as it is that Michael Keaton will probably loose the Oscar next week to Redmayne (is anyone REALLY surprised they would pass on someone playing Stephen Hawkings though?), I still think (or at least I hope so) that there's a potential time for anyone to have his or her moment of winning. It's alll about the timing.

The best thing about Pfeiffer doing tv is that we potentially get to see her face weekly on a screen

It's not that I hadn't already seen the movie 200 times, but I became OBSESSED with it over the past month. It's sexual and violent and depressing in ways that make me can't believe it was marketed as a kids' film complete with toys and Happy Meals.

Has anyone ever read the undeveloped "Catwoman" script by Daniel Waters? It was like an indirect sequel to "Batman Returns". It was just as dark, sexual and morose as BR.

A movie goddess for the ages...

Jakey--You have me curious about the Catwoman script! Where can you find it?

February 15, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterJJ

JJ, I found it! Took some digging and the only way I found it was because I had apparently blogged about it several years ago. Googling "Daniel Waters Catwoman unproduced" gets you the atrocious 2004 film.

Here goes:
