Kevin Spacey seems to have ZERO appreciation that success in Hollywood always happens on borrowed time and he's 15 years past the point when he could win Oscars left and right. The "my elevator is going up" line felt so smarmy and delusional given he probably has two more seasons of HoC left after this year and then what?

I have to admit that my antipathy for Spacey the man is personal—the closeted showboating grates like none other. Either way he's doing just fine but the SAG awards are a nice time for gratitude that A) he's a working actor and B) voters didn't pick the best performance in his category.

Ha! Kate for the Winslet.

I am enjoying all of the photos of Nicole. There are a couple of lovely ones of her and Naomi :)

There were 2 clear winners, Spotlight got a major badly needed boost for the Oscar race.
Idris Elba got his awards which let the world know he is a major star now and is accepted as such.

And the audience got more proof that Tina & Amy are the best there is at any awards show.

Spotlight! Yes!!!

Well, that IS a sag.
The true winner of the award circuit this year is of course the adorably amazing Jacob Tremblay.
I'm standing with Rampling, Mara and Rylance til the very end.

We need an awards season where Kate and Emma Thompson are nominated at the same time again. Think of all the gifs

So happy that Idris won for Beasts of No Nation! What a wonderful slap in the face to The Academy eh? And haha Viola Davis won .. AGAIN! That woman does not ever and will never cease to amaze me in all aspects of life - may she continue to slay. I also loved seeing Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, and the cast of Veep! And congrats to Queen Latifah too - Bessie was a film that had been in production for years and years, good on her.
- D3.

Winslet is an Oscar whisper. She co-starred with Michael Shannon and he received his first nomination. She co-starred twice with Leo and the whole world knows they'll never be able to rid themselves of each other and now it's his turn to be overdue at the Oscars. Hopefully her touching of Sarandon's boob will secure her that elusive sixth nomination in supporting actress for John Donovan.

Mr. Idris can get it anytime he wants it, baby! Call me!

January 31, 2016 | Unregistered CommenterDorian

Haha - for a sec, I thought you were dissing Susan Sarandon's breasts, which show no signs of sagging. I hope my own look that good at her age.

Kate Winslet does win the night.
