New York Times Zsa Zsa Gabor (Moulin Rouge), the last surviving member of the world famous Hungarian Gabor sisters (famous for acting, yes, but arguably more for the 20 marriages between them) has died. She was just two months shy of her 100th birthday! Her sisters Magda and Eva both passed away in the 1990s. Zsa Zsa's last two big screen appearance were cameo apperances as herself in the comedies Beverly Hillbillies (1993) and A Very Brady Sequel (1996). She was the only Gabor sister to have a child but she outlived her daughter Constance Francesca Hilton (yes, of that Hilton family) who died just 13 months ago.
Fun Oscar Trivia: One of Zsa Zsa's nine husbands was George Sanders (All About Eve) and she was married to him during that Oscar-winning career peak. She was considered for the role that went to Marilyn Monroe in that classic.

It would have been great if Zsa Zsa could have made the century mark but with how she was suffering I can't say it's not for the best that she didn't. People compare the Gabors to the Kardashians and I see the famous for being famous link but the link ends there. The Gabors radiated glamour, sophistication, a knowing sangfroid and always a great deal of humor. All those elements are missing from the trailer trash K's.
Michele Morgan didn't have much of a Hollywood career though I enjoyed her in Higher and Higher which was Sinatra's first film but she has many wonderful foreign films, both Port of Shadows and The Fallen Idol are amazing films. One bit of trivia during her brief Hollywood sojourn she contracted and had built the house at 10050 Cielo Drive that sadly was where Sharon Tate and her friends were murdered by the Manson gang.
Zsa Zsa was not the youngest of the Gabor sisters, Eva was.
If the Kardashians are the new Gabors then we can only hope that one of them can turn out to be a expert deadpan comedienne the way Eva did in Green Acres. Who knew?
I have seen Michele Morgan in both Cat and Mouse and Pastoral Symphony. Terrific in both.
Whilst I'm not thrilled about Mary Poppins Returns. I do have to say, what a cast!

I'm sorry but I cannot respect Zsa Zsa Gabor *at all*.
Amanda Buffamonteezi: Totally agree. I just remember all those post-cop slapping interviews and how arrogant and shallow Zsa Zsa came across. I've actually liked many other marginally talented stars who possessed self-deprecating humor or humanity off-camera...never saw that in Ga-bore.
I'm worried about artistic freedoms for filmmakers. I'm one of those.

Volvagia: I'm not sure, but Van Dyke says she's in it!
If the children in the original Mary Poppins appear as young adults in the sequel it means that 20 or 25 years have passedbetween the two films. So how could Van Dyke, the chimney sweep, have had a child who is now at least 80? He should now play the father of the character! Maybe the information is wrong.
Dick Van Dyke played two roles in the original Mary Poppins: Bert and Mr. Dawes the old banker. He will be playing the banker's son in the new movie.

"Legion" has the potential to warp everyone's mind when released. i don't know if you are familiar with the character, but David Haller is the illigetimate son of Charles Xavier - Professor X - and suffering with multiple personalities disorder. The trick: each one of his completely different personalities controls one superpower. And some of his personalities are pretty disturbed, making his behaviour a complete mistery. You never know what he is going to do next. In the comics, he even killed his father, provoking the first "Age of Apocalypse", which only could be fixed with some time warp.
I wonder how this series are going to interact with the upcoming "The New Mutants" film, in which I have relative hopes as they're with the Fantastic Four, my fave superhero group, and this time Fox seems to be more in sinthony with Marvel Studios. Even thought they're not showing my fave mutant yet - Cypher - the roster seems quite exciting, and the "Demon Bear" saga is pretty awesome, to start with... I'd recommend you check out those original issues which are a work of art by Chris Claremont - writting - and Bill Sienkiewickz - drawing and ink. A total masterpiece of the 9th art.
