Blind Poster

Manuel here starting off the year with a lot of questions. They are in reaction to this upcoming film titled Blind. It stars, as you'll see in the poster below, Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore. Who knew that people were clamoring for a reteaming of the stars of The Juror (aka the film that, alongside Striptease earned Ms. Moore a Razzie Award way back she was an undisputed movie star whose flops encouraged scorn and snickering all around Hollywood).

I ran across the poster and had to look up the film's synopsis. Thankfully, it didn't disappoint...

A novelist blinded in a car crash which killed his wife rediscovers his passion for both life and writing when he embarks on an affair with the neglected wife of an indicted businessman.

The sun-dappled glow of the poster should have clued us into the sappiness of the film at hand but boy did I not expect it to sound so cloying—surprised the tagline wasn't something like "Love...he didn't see it coming." A more detailed summary lets us know Demi's husband eventually gets out of jail and, gasp, "she is forced to choose between the man she loves and the man she built a life with."

The poster kept reminding of another one in particular, perhaps a mashup of It's Complicated and Julie & Julia???

A simple "Search Google for this image" confirmed that the poster is as generic as it gets when you want to sell a contemporary adult drama, most likely one involving a romance.

But maybe I'm not in the film's demo. Might anyone here be in the market for a late-in-life romance starring these two?

LOL wtf? That is not an attractive poster.

I really thought that was Jack Nicholson when I first looked at the poster.

I am sorry but I look at Baldwin's face and I see Trump

I read "...blinded in a car crash which killed his wife..." and think (TWIST!) Demi's character was behind it .

Wrong genre, I know.

Yep, looks like a Nancy Meyer film poster.
But at least It's Complicated tried something more than just the faces.

Who here remember the Demi days of 90-97

There are few advantages to being blind, but one is not having to see that poster.

Manuel - in this article you come across as closed minded and jaded. Why start the new year off like this?

January 2, 2017 | Unregistered CommenterCarsonNicely

This 100% looks like a parody poster/synopsis made up for 30 Rock.

This looks really fucking bad. Yeah, I'll skip it.

This apparently was a Blacklist script a decade ago so it does have something of a pedigree (or at least did). The poster and synopsis though seem pretty bad.

@brevity: o burn! That is a good one

I din recognise demi! Either she's over photoshopped or she has gotten herself a new face

"Love...he didn't see it coming."

LMAO. That's perfect.

Did we time travel back to 1997... again?

January 3, 2017 | Unregistered Commenterforever1267

I honestly thought that was a fake poster, Photoshopped together as the worst romantic comedy ever. Looks like I wasn't too far off lol.

I liked It's Complicated, but not because of Baldwin. This is the kind of crap I might watch if Professor Spouse is teaching a night class and I feel like being self-indulgent while home alone. Pure Netflix popcorn.

Have a feeling this is ending up STV.

Manuel, you need to do taglines for real!
