8 Things To Do While We W8 for Ocean's 8

Chris here, with more of Ocean's Eight (or Ocho? Which is it?).

After poring vociferously over every single set photo we come across, the studio has finally given us an official first look. With the horribleness going on in the world, this shot of the assembled gang makes us yearn for its sweet relief nownownow. But the wait will be longer than your early morning train ride - can you believe we still have to wait until June 2018 to actually see this thing? Here are eight things to do while we wait for Ocean's Eight...

01 Meticulously prepare and make your own recreation of each Ocean's lady's looks. It's never too soon to cosplay and don't we all need an excuse to up our coat game?

02 Similarly: Crowdfund costume designer Sarah Edwards's Oscar campaign. Try and top these contemporary and already iconic stylings, other 2018 movies, we dare you.

03 Overanalyze the just released character names for hidden meaning: Debbie Ocean (Bullock), Lou (Blanchett), Rose (Carter), Nine Ball (Rihanna), Tammy (Paulson), Daphne Kluger (Hathaway - potential accent alert!), Amita (Kaling), and Constance (Awkwafina).

04 Fantasize about the inevitable soundtrack. Beyond tracks from Rihanna and Awkwafina, what would each of these ensemble members put on their heist playlist?

05 Grab seven friends to overtake an empty subway car for your own bit of viral marketing.

06 Find sunglasses for Bullock, Blanchett, and Paulson since they didn't get the icognito memo from the rest of the gang.

07 Bemoan that the film doesn't have its version of Carl Reiner from the Soderbergh trilogy. Think of what a Loretta Devine or Sally Field could have added to the equation!

08 Generally continue to dismantle the patriarchy.

How are you biding your time waiting for Ocean's Eight?

Why is this movie coming out so late? Aren't they done filming? Since this doesn't have a lot of CGI, I don't understand the holdup. Are the actors not available to promote it this year?

Hey don't count out an elderly cameo yet. I want Vanessa Redgrave in this LOL (and HAPPY BIRTHDAY VAN RED!)
I want more of Helena Bonham Carter all day everyday.
Can't waitttt!

Will they get an award for achievement in coat fabulousness?
But most importante, why such a late release date? Do they need over a year of post-production?

With coats like these, this should be a fall/winter release. Surprise us and move the date up, WB.

I will be wondering what Sarah Paulson's publicist did to get her up front, closer to the camera than Cate and Anne. Everyone else's placement seems equivalent to their fame level except hers.

This is a holiday release if I ever saw one. Does WB have a Christmas tentpole already scheduled or something. They wrapped filming last summer!

Find a way to cut the Kartrashians or any useless morons from that film to make it watchable at least.

@Stritch They are still filming.

The press tour for this film is gonna be fabulous.

I can't wait to see Cate the Great and all these lovely actresses together! Is Vanessa Redgrave doing a cameo? I would LUV that!

Maybe an MBA told them to release it in Summer so it makes the most money? It certainly gives them a lot of time to get it right. I hope this is more like The Devil Wears Prada and less like Ghostbusters.

Predicting/making hopeful wishes about the cast was a lot of fun, and I'm happy to say that I'm actually very content with the final cast. A nice interesting mix. And there still could've been several more ladies I'd love to see in the mix, but this is definitely a strong group. I even love the Rihanna and Awkwafina additions.

Why does my morning commute never look like this?
