Almodóvar for 99¢
Heads up. If you ever rent movies from iTunes rather than wait for them to stream, you should know that Pedro Almodóvar's entire filmography (well, absent Julieta of course which is too new) is now available to rent for 99¢ for each film (or between $4.99 and $9.99 to buy, depending on the title). Yes, even Pepi Luci Bom, his first official feature, which has been previously quite hard to come by. There are very few filmmakers in the world with a filmography as consistently rich as his, so dig in. He's my favorite living filmmaker, so I must proselytize when I can.
Perhaps we should do a series?

Yesssssssss. The bf and I have been meaning to start our own Almodovar retrospective so this is perfect timing.
That picture with the fade out looks like an In Memoriam photo, thought he had died.
You could celebrate his Cannes movies in a mini-retrospective, now that he's gonna be president of the jury.
I just saw High Heels. Very underrated and I wish Victoria Abril was in more of his movies.
Does anyone love Kika?
Most watchers didn't, but it think it's bizzarely highly entertaining.
Yes to this series ideas. I think I've seen everything he's done (save Pepi...). While I don't love all of his movies, they're never not rich and visually stunning. My favorites are still Volver and Átame.
Does anyone love Kika?
Me. Its the one of his movies I wish to see projected.
You can also stream the following on Hulu: Talk To Her, All About My Mother, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Bad Education, Law of Desire, Live Flesh, and The Skin I Live In.
A Pedro series would be fabulous!
Sonja -- I adore Kika
I concur, please do a Pedro series. Pleeeeaaaase...
Looks like same deal on Amazon, in case anyone's not an Apple fan.
Thanks for the tip - some of these have been really hard to find.
Almodovar the man: I can't stand him.
Almodovar the artist: a genius, but not Spain's greatest at work (that honor should go to Javier Fesser with Nacho Vigalondo and Alex de la Iglesia for runners up).
My top Almodovar:
1. Talk to Her
2. What have I done to deserve this
3. Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown
4. The Skin I live in
5. Law of desire
6. All about my mother
7. Dark Habits
8. Bad Education
9. Tie me up! Tie me Down!
10. Volver
Almodovar the man: I can't stand him.
What are his faults?
