How was this not nominated for a Costume Design Oscar??

Also, Kristen Wiig should have won Best Actress that year. Viola was a great contender, but her recent comments only make the case stronger for how much more appropriate it was for her to win for Fences over that Help dreck. Wiig's Annie is such a deeply accurate and soulful portrayal of insecurity and depression AND one of the funniest performances that's graced the scene in forever. (The airplane scene, for goodness' sake.) Love her!

Kristen not being nominated for Best Actress is probably the snub that I'm most bothered about.

In such a week field - it kills me that Kristen Wiig missed as did Charlize for Young Adult. I fume every year over what that lineup could have been!

Kristen Wiig really should’ve been a Best Actress nominee that year. Maybe they saw the Screenplay nom as a way to acknowledge her without “dirtying up” their acting categories with too much comedy. (Heaven forbid!)

I sometimes regret not including her in my awards that year for best actress but at least she was one of the three finalists :)

She's indeed choice, as is the also-ignored Keira Knightley in A Dangerous Method.

As good as Theron is in Young Adult, Wiig is my winner that year - a prime example of the type of heartfelt, starmaking performance in a comedy that awards bodies often ignore.

Hell yes to Kristen deserving that Best Actress nod! Hilarious and so honest. She ruined Jordan almonds for me, that's how good she is in this.

Are Rose Byrne and Emily Blunt friends? You'd think Hollywood's two most versatile, talented, charismatic and underappreciated actresses would find each other. They each deserve Sigourney Weaver style nominations for drama, comedy and genre work.

Rose would've made a great (Better? We'll see!) Mary Poppins.

The musical parody dinner theater version of this at the Rockwell LA was hilarious.

One of my favourite comedy of all time. Genius acting from everyone. Byrne and McCarthy are stupendous and Wiig is phenomenal. I love everything about this movie.

Kristen Wiig and Kirsten Dunst should've both been nominated. Charlize too. But alas... Viola was still my fav of the nominees, but what a weak year. Ouch.

The Iron Lady, Albert Nobbs, My Week With Marliyn (I'm gonna be sick).
