"Avengers: Endgame" Teases
by Nathaniel R
Avengers 4 (or 5 if you count Captain America: Civil War, which you probably should) finally has a title: Avengers Endgame. Yay, superhero movies are ending! (Just kidding in two ways. They're obviously not over and I like 'em even while I wish they weren't the dominant moviegoing culture.)
But anyway, you know what would be truly truly thrilling? If Marvel Studios and Disney were brave enough to not release ANY more footage from Avengers: Endgame beyond this teaser. Why waste all the money on advertising and spoil the visual reveals when everyone is already going to see the movie? Avengers: Infinity War grossed 2 billion worldwide making it the highest-grossing movie of 2018. There's no reason to believe that Endgame couldn't do the same even without the hardsell.
The teaser is after the jump...
The only characters we see beyond Thanos and Nebula (for the outer space connections), and the original core team (handy that, that they all survived 'the Snappening') Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, and... oh hello Hawkeye who wasn't in the last movie. The surprise of the teaser is the reintroduction of Ant-Man, who you'll recall also wasn't seen in Avengers: Infinity War. He was stranded in the Quantum realm at the end of Ant Man and the Wasp because his coworkers disintegrated in the real world, unbeknownst to him. And obviously the original Avengers thought he had been dusted by Thanos.
So here's what we can suss out from this teaser. The healing energy of the Quantum Realm will play a part in defeating Thanos and/or ressurecting everyone and (total guess) Captain Marvel will rescue Iron Man who is adrift in space, and the two of them will return to the core group and then they'll all defeat the big lavender dude. We don't want to know or suss out anything else before the movie opens on April 26th, 2019, a mere 140 days from now.
The title of the song you last listened to is the title for Avengers 4.

P.S. Before we go, wanted to share this amusing meme from Twitter *just before* the film's title was revealed. Some of the responses are delightful...

Avengers 4: The Ladies Who Lunch
They're rich. They're bored. They're cranky. They're half in the bag. And they are going to kick Thanos' ass.
Avengers 4: Serenade In G Major: Eine Kleine Knachtmusik, K. 525:I. Allegro Hmm. Pretty weird title but ok.

Are they still making these movies? Who actually enjoys them?
I completely agree... no more teasers, no more trailers, no more leaked photos... they're not necessary at all... the best trailer for it, was Infinity War...
I hope Pfeiffer has more to do in this one than she did in ANT-MAN but not holding my breath
Avengers 4: Come to Brazil
Agree totally. The advertising for avengers infinity war was so over-the-top (my favorite: seeing an add for it before EVERY in-flight entertainment option on an international flight). Plus that film had a cliffhanger that left everyone talking. Really they should have pulled a Beyoncé and released it unannounced in the night.
It is one of the dullest pop culture phenomenom of these last years. I guess I'm getting old, though to be honest I never enjoyed stuffs like Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Twilight or The Hunger Games. I kind of get disconected when it comes to popular franchises.

AVENGERS 4: ENJOY THE SILENCE was really mine, lol
Avengers 4: Anna Wintour
I'm so far behind on this universe. But I enjoy the fan fiction.
Also Avengers: Jackie dressed in cobras
The first comment was just stupid. Like, why comment?
Ha, agreed @Morgan (the first). Some people just love being negative.
I'm super excited and would think it'd be brilliant if they didn't show any action/visual reveals in the next trailers (but we know they will).
Also - mine was Avengers: Bad at Love
Avengers: Total Entertainment Forever
Lol
