2015 Mr Holmes opens in limited release. An Oscar campaign for Sir Ian McKellen doesn't pan out (in the new documentary McKellen: Playing the Part you'll learn that Sir Ian wasn't too pleased about this!). 2020 Supposedly a Bob's Burgers animated movie is going to open on this day! That show is genius but the immediate question is: Does it need a movie?

Why didn't Mr Holmes campaign take off anywhere I mean that BA field was woeful.
I'm intrigued - what does Sir Ian have to say about the Mr. Holmes snub? To be fair, it was a very gentle film and he was charming in it, but isn't it a very 1990s Miramax-style film?

Now, there's a movie I'd love to see, two legends like Sutherland and Carroll playing opposite each other as the heads of a sprawling multiracial family dealing with generations of social change starting with their interracial union in the 1960s. Let's make that happen.
No, Bob's Burgers does not need a movie and yes, I will be there opening weekend.
I noticed looking through the birthday's that it seems to be a popular day for Hollywood progeny to be born- Billie Lourd (Carrie Fisher/Debbie Reynolds), Lucie Arnaz (Lucille Ball/Desi Arnaz) and Katherine Towne (Robert Towne is her father-John Payne & Anne Shirley her grandparents) were all born on this day.
Oh the story behind Lana's checkered history with Stephen Crane is that they married in haste the first time only to discover not only that they weren't really suited to each other but that his first marriage was not properly terminated so she got an annulment. Then she discovered she was pregnant and such were the times they had to remarry though she knew it was doomed to failure.
It didn't really seem to teach her a lesson though since she married many times afterwards and never successfully.
