Hearing Kent Jones overintellectualize everything he sees is my least favorite part of NYFF. As a result, I’ve been avoiding Diane like the plague. Maybe I should give it a chance though...? You guys are definitely making me reconsider.
I saw HIGH LIFE opening weekend in LA. Juliette Binoche deserves subsequent Oscar recognition for just existing.
Mary Kay! I would carve her face on Mount Rushmore
Although her Weinstein has had enough stance is pretty trashy for a classy lady.
High Life was basically a sequel to White Material, hence the obsession with semen and milk. But, Murturda you must see Trouble Every Day and Intruder, because I get a sense that you liked Denis enough that these two films would appeal. Finally, I was surprised neither of you mention Claire's regular musical collaborators, Tindersticks. Since seeing High Life I cannot get their song, Willow, out of my head. I even hear it in my dreams!
Murtada (sorry for the wrong spelling)
Your misreading is Sauvage is disconcerting.
Your misreading of (I should say)
Ishmael - actually I saw Trouble Every Day since we recorded, and liked it. Tell me more re Sauvage .....
