Thoughts I Had... while staring at "Wonder Woman 1984" poster
You know how it works. The thoughts as they come with no second-guessing.

• First Dazzler showing up in Dark Phoenix and now this?
• Thor crossover? The MCU has gone too far.
• Didn't Diana Prince work in an art museum in the DCEU? What would she make of this?
• Her new power is blinding her opponents
•
• Exciting but what we really wanted was a Kristen Wiig as Cheetah poster.
• How long will it take until we get a better female superhero movie than Wonder Woman (2017)? Don't say Captain Marvel (2019) because it wasn't better than Wonder Woman. It's still shocking how good Wonder Woman was given the DCEU ineptitude surrounding it.
• We're always asking for movies to be more colourful so perhaps Patty Jenkins has answered our prayers? It was depressing when Wonder Woman did a reverse-Wizard of Oz and got all drab palette to reflect WWII after that vivid opening.
• • Wonder Woman promoting halluginogens is like that perfect moment in Avengers Endgame when Captain America said "Hail, Hydra!" and it made total narrative sense.
• I lived through 1984 and the color palette was this:
• The trailer isn't arriving until December or something which is too long to wait.

Psychedelic. It's different I give it that.
LOL, I also thought shades of Drag Race. (It's sort of gay pride-ish if you think about it.)
My first thought was that her shoulder armor is so big that it makes her look like she has a very short neck. And then I remembered that shoulder pads were an '80s thing. Was that what they were going for?
Didnt know gold knight’s armour was my thing, but...never found Gal to have much sex appeal til now- holy shit. And frankly it just makes her more terrifying.
Happy pride yall. I love this vibe for WW.
My first thought was.... GGGGGGGAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!!!!
ww (2017) was shockingly bad and boring tbh
We are in Xanadu?
Metropolis?
Wait, is this implying what I think it's implying? You guys think this is a trip? Wait until you see what the helmet might be. Bakawww!
First thought: I'm tired of seeing this Zionist, genocide-supporter everywhere.
Keep it! I'm so sick of superhero movies!
At this point it feels like critics are talking out both sides of their mouth about franchises. They're a scourge on Hollywood (and the business of filmmaking) when it suits us, and they're epic cinematic events (and/or diversity triumphs) when it suits us.
I have yet to see a Marvel/DC movie that is marginally better or more inspired than the last. It always feels like we /pretend/ they are not all roughly the same based on whatever our politics/priors are.
In your case Nat I know some superhero characters are iconic to you, personally, so I don't begrudge the excitement! I'm just not in that camp. TBH I might be into a Catwoman movie someday, after a long, long break.
The hair needs more volume and the shoulder pads are tiny
Peggy: On the former point, this look might have a helmet, and on the latter point, this look might have a helmet. Bakawww!
I loved the original Wonder Woman--it was a blast, and it had a lot of heart. I'm digging the new poster and am excited about the sequel.
