Congratulations to La Pfeiffer!

Congratulations to the one and only Michelle Pfeiffer who was immortalized in the classic Hand & Footprint ceremony in Hollywood this past Friday. She's giving interviews that everyone has been forwarding me (you know how I get with La Pfeiff) and she's saying her most iconic moments are still ahead of her.

Gurrrrrl. I hope. But you'll have to get back to work to make it so instead of taking years off between projects. Every time she 'comes back' she immediately leaves again...

That said she has one feature in post-production Oh. What Fun (she's the lead with Felicity Jones, Joan Chen, Danielle Brooks, and Chloe Moretz in support) and one Yellowstone spin-off series in production called The Madison. She'll also be in one episode of the Elle Fanning / Nicole Kidman series Margo's Got Money Troubles which is currently in production. The real question is whether or not the goddess will hibernate again for 12-36 months once they yell "cut" on The Madison. There's a fourth project looming (another leading role in a feature Wild Four O'Clocks) but until camera's start rolling we remain cautious about expecting to see her on the regular.

The last time Pfeiffer was this busy was circa 2017 when The Wizard of Lies, Mother!, and Murder on the Orient Express all arrived but since that year  there have only been two worthy showcases for her amazing gifts: French Exit (2020) and The First Lady (2022), the latter of which could have easily been an Emmy-winning role for her had it just been a Betty Ford miniseries as she was inarguably the best thing about the ambitious but very uneven series.
