Curio: Cinema Carvings
Alexa here. Every Halloween I hope to carve a cool pop culture pumpkin, but inertia usually takes over (although this year I was pretty happy with my Jack-o'-Louis C.K.). Here are some of my favorite cinematic jack-o'-lanterns that have inspired me over the last few years. I'm still waiting for someone to step up and create a great Black Swan or Rosemary Woodhouse, though.

These are great! Thanks Alexa.
Holy crap. That Vertigo pumpkin is amazing. The best I ever did was my Stay Puft Marshmallow Man last year and I had to use a pattern.
The Pan's Labyrinth are amazing.
Robert G -- so agreed on Vertigo pumpkin!
Don't take offense, Nathaniel. But you have many readers around the world who don't relate to Halloween. Your Horror articles articles were really good, and I would've been delighted to read them spread out in time... but all at the same time and taking up practically ALL your "space"? And they were not just 3! I know Halloween is over, but I certainly hope this is the last!
Again, please think of your international readers, too.
Fabian, you can blame me for this one. I pitched the Oscar Horror series to Nathaniel as a little limited run thing all throughout October and it snowballed into a Team Experience event. However, it just happened to be that some of us got hit with a lot of outside stuff that meant writing these posts all in the last few days of the month. I'm glad you liked the coverage and I can assure you, with this year's crop of horror films in America, that the rest of the year will be mostly horror free at The Film Experience.
