Curio: Poster Designs by Matt Needle

Alexa here. Matt Needle is a freelance designer living in the UK with a knack for poster design. I've been following his work since last year, when I was on the lookout for cool indie posters for Inception.  Lately he's added so many new designs to his portfolio that I can barely keep up! Here are some highlights from his film poster collection; check out his flickr to see more, including some great music and television posters (and a very cool Don Draper).  All are available for purchase from his bigcartel shop.

His format of a "large head" threatens to get a bit repetitive - but that said, I looked at his shop at loved the posters for Blue Velvet and 8-1/2.

The Oceans 11 poster you have here doesn't look like his work though, Alexa, is that here in error? (I didn't see it in his shop.)

agreed about the big head repetition but i totally dig the INCEPTION poster... my favorite rogue poster of that movie by far

Yes Janice, the Oceans 11 poster is his, it's a work in progress, an attempt to redesign the poster. I liked it because it seemed of the period. You can see it on his flickr:

These are indeed very cool.

Then again, when is awesome alternative poster design by talented freelancers not welcomed?

That Mulholland Drive poster is just bliss.
