Easter Box Office - What did you see?

"I saw Amazing Grace. Starts at thrilling and just keeps going from there." -Ken S

"Little . Amusing with a charming cast. Although I think I would have liked a movie just about Issa Rae better." - Adri

"I saw High Life. I had to fight to stay awake. What a load of nothing." - Suzanne

April. It's a Wrap.

2011 is speeding by. A third over already? Here are some highlights from the month that was in case you missed anything. My biggest regret is that my contribution to the Beauty & The Beast party didn't pan out as planned. I have a new copy of the DVD sitting here so... soon.  But it was still super exciting to see your turn out for that episode of Hit Me With Your Best Shot. I hope everyone clicked around and read all the Belle magic.

Thor came out in Australia last week, and I think it was amazing. The art direction and Hemsworth"s performance were both outstanding.

Still a bit sad about Lumet.. aren't we all?

Can't wait til Tuesday when the Tony nominations come out! All the precursors are saying the same thing... 'The Book of Mormon' will reap up some high counts with the leads alternating recognition. I'm personally rooting for Benjamin Walker to score that 5th Best Actor nod and the closed too soon 'The Scottboro Boys' to make it into the Best Musical field. Will the penultimate Broadway pretty boy Aaron Tveit finally score a nod? Will Daniel Radcliffe be the latest movie star to get a trophy for stage over the red-hot Norbert Leo Butz? Suspense. :P Yay... THEATRE! Okay... getting too giddy.

Did you know that Eraserhead is in Google video? It is not of an outstanding video quality, but you can watch the movie there for free.

The Tree of Life (and to a lesser extent, Cannes) is definitely gonna be THE film event for me in May. Looking forward to that. Looking back, though, April 2011 was a great TFE month, most of those links are pure gems!
