Curio: Woody's Women

Alexa here.  Matthew's question for today's Q&A ("Woody Allen has chosen a new, unexpected muse...Pick the actress") got me thinking about the special qualities of Woody's muses.  As noted in June's W, Woody surrounds himself (or his actor fascimilie) with fascinating, seductive, unnerving women. He told the magazine that "I have great adoration and lust and interest in all of the women in my films. It would thrill me to go out with all of them.”  Here are a few fan art celebrations of Woody with his dream dates.

Woody and Scarlett, hand painted on a t-shirt by ElenaDiNatale.

Painting by Peter Mack.

Another with perenial favorite Diane, from Mike Oncley's Annie Hall print series.

Finally, the dream is reversed: artist Vanessa MacLeod imagines herself having coffee with Woody at Christmas.

I still say Rosemarie DeWitt would kill in an Allen picture.

I love the tee. I'd love it even more if it were Annie, but wonderful art regardless. Thanks for sharing. :)

Oh man, i want that t-shirt! I'd love to see Woody work with Lauren Ambrose, Carla Gugino, Parker Posey, Mia Kirshner, Lisa Kudrow, Rachael Harris or Catherine O'Hara Actually the list is endless.

I would love to see Woody working again with Scarlett... Maybe I can see it in the Munich project. You know, Woody seems to know exactly how to pull the best from ScarJo's acting (and anatomic) skills and it is always that's nice to see on-screen!

For sentimental reasons, I'd love to see Woody re-team with Diane Keaton again. Justing looking at these t-shirts depicting classic scenes from "Annie Hall' makes me all nostaligic...

I'm also pleased as punch (well, ice wine really as that's what I'm sipping at the moment) because I just found out that Woody's latest, 'Bop Decameron' starring Jesse Eisenberg and Ellen Page also stars Alison Pill! Yay, more Pill goodness!

On the male muse front for Woody, I'd love to see him work with Edward Norton again.
