Tuesday Night Chat?
UPDATE: We begin at 10:00 pm EST. Be ready to throw a few back.
Previous Tease...
I will valiantly try to complete the Oscar nomination predictions this weekend (things have been craycray offline... including in-laws visit and such) but why not join me for a live chat on Tuesday night? [update: I'd originally suggested Monday but forgot that Monday was also insane with activity.]

At least try and do the actress category! :)
So you are going to miss "Smash"???
Sorry, my Mondays are booked by RuPaul and her fellow queens (we actually go celebrate it here in Seattle).
Are the top five actresses the top five on your contender list (Wiig, Knightley, Bullock, Wasakowski and Fanning)? Just a guess.
drew & eurocheese -- OMG. what am I thinking with Monday? i am so swamped on Monday and not with just tv. changing it to tuesday.
Well then count me in.
Barbra Streisand turns 70 today and no post? What kind of actressexual guy are you? I'm just kidding :p although it would be nice to see something about the lady in your amazing blog... despite having slowed down her movie career she made some pretty good movies and given good material she's an excellent actress.
I just read somewhere that Streisand's movie remake of Gypsy has been canceled due to objections by one of the creators of the original material...
Too bad, Gypsy would have given Streisand would have made a movie comeback of sorts.
S -- we talk about Babs on occassion here and more often at the old blog but you're right that I should do more. I even watched Funny Girl for the millionth time last month,.
It is also Shirley MacLaine's birthday. She turns 78. A damn good actress who Oscar has snubbed too often...
Hi Nathaniel! It's just that she's turning 70 which is a milestone... and she's also commemorating a 50 year career that is just to die for! She still manages to draw crows whenever she tours (and her ticket prices trump any performer), she still manages to have top10 debuts (and occasional #1 debuts with little fanfare) and she's someone who has had a lot of first in the movie world (Oscar for her movie debut, Oscar for her writing song debut, first woman to direct, write, produce, star, etc)... is short, an incomparable career and she's really of the first artists to have full control over her material.
Mark, Gypsy is still on. Arthur Laurents passed away but he gave his blessing to the production, the other author is Stephen Sondheim who is mad about Barbra... in fact, her official website reports that Julian Fellowes is adapting the play to a movie with Streisand and Joel Silver as producers.
She's also currently working on an amazing 12 DVD set that will serve as a retrospective of her career! And then there's "My Mother's Curse" with Seth Rogen later this year... all this at 70 year youuuung!!! :D
S -- i have heard your plea and have put up a Barbra Streisand post :)
So sorry I missed this. I love these.
Oh well I got fitted for new glasses today. I'll be getting them soon.
I regret not knowing about this but if it's any consolation, I was drinking and telling my friends how awesome Katherine McPhee is in The House Bunny.
