Gravity. Such a Tease.
I don't have time for a Yes No Maybe So this morning for the Gravity teaser but I'm all YES anyway. And we can wait for a full trailer (though really why can't they leave it at this perfect tease?) for that. The 2013 Oscar prediction charts will be finished over the next few days (finally ~ thanks for your impatience!) but as you can tell from the Best Picture chart, I'm going all in for this one.
And I was doing so long before this tease caught my breath so strongly I nearly lost oxygen. How strongly does this teaser grab you? Do you think Alfonso Cuarón will top his two arguable masterpieces: Children of Men and Y Tu Mama Tambien? What would you give to see it right now?

Gravity looks incredible. I am all in!
This trailer is truly spectacular. Already watched three times and will probably watch it again. Really excited to see Sandra in a role like this.
It's a really impresive trailer but, Nat, doesn't it bother you that the movie is in 3D?
Count me in! Where do I sign up? What happens?
Considering how close it looks like this might be hewing to real life science and current technology, based on this trailer, can we even call this "sci-fi" anymore?
It goes without saying that that significantly increases it's Oscar chances.
Let's just all agree Y Tu Mama Tambien is an inarguable masterpiece at this point ok? This seven year wait between Cuarón films has been a little painful knowing he should be in his prime.
Impressive trailer!
Surprisingly, it excited me more than the August: Osage County trailer.
I saw this before Gatsby, and I was terrified!!!
A real quick off topic—Please do one for The Butler, Oprah is everything in it.
ohmygod, ohmygod, ohmygod, OH. MY. GOD.
That looks amazing. Not that I wasn't excited for Gravity before this but...
WOW. CAN NOT WAIT.
I cannot wait to see this in 3D and have a panic attack! Somebody who saw a cut said it was overwhelming enough to watch in 2D.
I also really hope this movie is successful if to just have Sandra Bullock take more adult roles and be considered for prestige movies. Looking at some of the comments, there are not a lot of believers for her in this movie.
I'm so glad this trailer doesn't give any of the narrative away. I can't wait to see what Cuarón gets out of Bullock - hers might be my most anticipated performance of the year.
We're in for a treat here, though, because Cuarón has never made a bad movie. The Prisoner of Azkaban is easily the best of the Harry Potter adaptations, and A Little Princess is just breathtakingly beautiful.
Just amazingly terrifying. Can't wait to see it!
Oh. Em. Gee. I nearly had a baby.
Nice! But I don't want to see any more. I agree with Tyler. Cuaron hasn't made a bad movie.
(But same with A:OC. Don't want to see any more pics, or clips, or longer trailers. Want to be surprised!)
Casting Sandra was a smart move... she's someone people will want to hang with for the duration that she's lost in space.
Also, I always love when a trailer starts with a haunting piano tune.
Very good. This will tide me over nicely since I've decided to go in cold for BEFORE MIDNIGHT. No trailers for that one for me!
I think i'm the only 1 not excited about this at all.
I know a trusted colleague who saw a preview of it in NYC recently and was gaga for it. I am excited, but don't think it will top Y Tu Mama Tambien for me, which ages beautifully every time I see it.
Yes, thank you all of you. On Youtube it's nothing but moronic comments. The film looks amazing!
This gave me vertigo and nausea. I feel a bit sick.
What would you give to see it right now?
I wouldn't give my first born, but my second is negotiable. All hail Cuaron.
I'm so sad because so many movies I want to see (like this one ... I'm really excited to [hopefully[ see Sandra get a second nom for this!) are coming out this fall and I will be studying abroad in London at the time :(. I hope I will still get to see this in the theatre.
Why no update charts in acting categories?????
Wow-yes very excited, even though I have traditionally been very cool towards Bullock. And, I will argue HARD that Y Tu Mama and Children of Men are straight up masterpieces. Both are probably in my top 10 of last decade.
