That look makes me think of the scene from Mommie Dearest "no wire hangers ever!" Faye Dunaway did really nail that look.

Joan Crawford forever

June 5, 2014 | Unregistered Commentero.s.

Well, now I'm imagining Joan Crawford as Jack Torrance in The Shining

June 5, 2014 | Unregistered Commentercraver

Are you following Faye Dunaway on Twitter? It's the real her. And she's willing to discuss Mommie Dearest with the base.

June 5, 2014 | Unregistered Commenter3rtful

Ha! This is great!

Can we please get a gender bent shining? I mean I know Crawford is dead and all but can we tupac her or something to get this done.

Amazing.

I've never seen Mommies Dearest, but I feel like I need to.
Faye Dunaway seems to be perfectly casted. From the look at least! o_O

Hahahahaha. Amazing!

Looks like you really need your annual dose of Singin' in the Rain.

a tad stressed today?

Sonja, don't believe the naysayers. It might be camp, but Mommie Dearest features a brilliant performance by Faye. She IS Joan Crawford. Unfortunately, her fantastic portrayal is surrounded by a terrible film.

June 5, 2014 | Unregistered Commenterbrookesboy

Ha! Bravo.

@brookesboy

I'll judge myself, but there are enough films I love that are declared as "camp". So what?
There's always a plate reseved for some good ham on my film table.

Lol

Love this, but while you're in 1964 mode, "Lady in a Cage" is some great, unheralded actress horror. Not just for camp reasons! But okay also for camp reasons.

craver--"Here's Joannie!"

One of the more intriguing sub genres of the 1960s is the 'Psycho Biddie' film. Inspired by the success of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, there were quite a few in 1964 and throughout the later part of the decade.

1964 alone has such examples as Strait-Jacket, Lady in a Cage, Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte, Dead Ringer, The Night Walker, etc. Could be a fun series!

Miss Crawford at her murderous best!
