Haha! What made you think of this?

June 2, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterTyler

Her Oscar acceptance made it all worth it.

June 2, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBruno

CONSIDER.

I just love that whole "i'm so glad my third husband is dead" vibe of that ad.

June 2, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDerreck.

haha Leo is so kooky. Currently being wonderfully creepy on Wayward Pines. May she never hurt for work.

June 2, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAnonny

That was epic. She needs another "Fighter"like juicy role.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAaron

The LEOgend continues.

ICONIC

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterRahul

I really like her as an actress, and I have no doubt she's a wonderful person, but those posters were just off-puttingly tacky. Let the work speak for itself.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterBVR

This whole photo shoot was such a mess. I remember making the joke "Consider... someone else" when the photos debuted.

But it didn't hurt her campaign, apparently, so what do I know?

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterDonovan W.

Melissa Leo: Take this, Amy Adams!

I wouldn't be surprised if Leo becomes one of those a-nomination-per-decade actors.

Philip H. & Derreck -- LOL

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterPeggy Sue

This remains one of my favorite incidents ever in awards race campaigning and it still brings the best out of people (see Derreck's comment for example). I dream of a world where she would constantly be nominated and would just keep churning out crazy FYI ads for our amusement. Oh, look! She's in spaceship this year!

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterCarmen Sandiego

I'm waiting for Diane Ladd to overtake the season.
I'm sure she won't even use "consider", but use "just vote".

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterSonja

This made my day. TFE 4eva!

Subheading -- Melissa Leo: The Anti-Mo'Nique.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterTroy H.

A slightly scary moment for me, because I love her and really wanted her to win, and this seemed like SUCH a stumble at the time.
Now of course it just adds to the LEOgacy of one of my fave supporting actress wins.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterMike in Canada

I'm really hoping that Diane Ladd out-campaigns Leo only to be snubbed in favor of her Italian co-star :-P

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAndrew

This pic made me think she was guest-starring on Game of Thrones.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterbrookesboy

In light with Love.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered Commentermurtada

I still can't believe this was a real thing and not a result funny or die skit or some SNL parody. This is so tacky.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterV.

I took this post last night as a sign to stop putting off watching The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada, and I was not steered wrong! Great film, really impressed by Tommy Lee Jones as a director, and most importantly I got a movie that to deliver me the Melissa Leo/January Jones mall slut best friendship I didn't even know I needed.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterTB

Her Sandy Dennis biopic never surfaced online, Francine.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered Commenter3rtful

You know what makes me sad about this that Amy Adams really really deserved the Oscar that year and i am a big Leo fan.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterMARK

What an embarrassment this was. Even more so in retrospect.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterAmir

This is what RuPaul would call, "OPULENCE!!!"

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterSanty C.

Every time I see this photo I just imagine the room reeking of chlorine.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterHayden W.

"What becomes a LEOgend most?"

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterPaul Outlaw

Good lord that is one badly photoshopped into face! The lighting matches nothing in the photo!

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterSanty C.

MARK, I, as well, would have given it to Adams that year. In my perfect world she'd have two Oscars now -- the other for Junebug -- and I don't even consider myself that big a fan of hers.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterTroy H.

I. Love. This. So. Much.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterMareko

THIS IS THE BEST COMMENT THREAD. AND I'VE "CONSIDER"ED MANY

June 3, 2015 | Registered CommenterNATHANIEL R

I thought that was Caitlyn.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered Commenterjimmy

God Bless

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterCMG

One of the most bizarre occurrences that still makes me wonder if it wasn't an Onion article all along. Thank you life, thank you love, thank you Leogend.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterJordan

If you ask me, this was the best thing about the Oscars 2010, one of its worst recent iterations.

June 3, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterEvan

where the fuck did she put the cane?

June 4, 2015 | Unregistered CommenterTomo

She deserved that Oscar just for slapping the door instead of knocking like a sensible person. Hilarious.

Also, I love that "Consider..." has lived on as perhaps the best one-word joke that everyone understands in the Oscarverse. Thumbs up.
