What do you suppose Nicole gave Reese for her birthday?
Awww. Reese Witherspoon celebrated her 40th birthday yesterday with Nicole Kidman. They've been filming the miniseries Big Little Secrets of late. Curious that the photo makes it look like the wine is where the birthday candles go.
Over the weekend she also had a big star studded birthday bash so she was doing 40 right. What do you suppose Nicole gave Reese? What would you give Reese for her birthday?

Reese seems to be really beloved by her fellow actresses. She was getting a ton of happy birthday messages from ladies like Julianne Moore and Elizabeth Banks on social media yesterday. It was nice to see.
Happy birthday Reese!
She sincerely seems like a nice lady, so of course other actresses love her.
On other note, it's just absurd that Reese and Kate Winslet are just 40, when it feels like they have been around forever.
Humility?
Craver -- true. they both started as teenage stars hence the forever feeling part.
Nicole gave her the gift of her presence in Big Little Lies, which is my most anticipated project being a huge fan of the book.
In all seriousness (also because I love both women), I'm sure Nicole got her a really nice gift. Maybe some designer boots to "replace the ones you wore in Wild. By the way, Reese, did I tell you how much I loved you and Laura in that film."
In this fantasy scenario, fellow cast member Laura Dern is the one taking the picture.
I'm dying realizing all three of those women are together and friends. It brings my heart joy!
I like the forever feelings associated with Reese saw her first in 91's man in the moon then to Fear from 96 and then 98 -99 era Election/Cruel intentions/Pleasantville/Freeway then full on Superstar Legally blonde 1 and 2,Sweet home Alabama & Just like heaven then The Oscar and then stranded in below par vehicles 4 Christmases as happens to most Best Actress winners only to return better than ever in Wild and producing Gone Girl which she stepped out of the lead role when she wasn't right.
Happy Birthday.
I'd like to give her the sequel to MA Larson's Pennyroyal Academy, but it doesn't come out until June.
I would give her another Oscar for Election ;)
I want this HBO vehicle to be a return to prominence for Kidman. She is too valuable to be so undervalued and easily dismissed. One best actress nomination shy of Nick Davis' perennial status where she can join other one time winners with four nominations: Julie Christie and Diane Keaton. She is as good and sometimes outright better than them. I miss her being a revered auteur muse.
A simple birthday card with a note that says "you were da fuckin' bomb in Freeway "
Acting lessons, I hope.
Witherspoon has always rubbed me the wrong way. Her Best Actress win is one of the least deserved in the category's history, and she reeks of self-satisfaction. Have heard from a few reputable sources that she's not very nice to be around.
Success producing other people's projects?
I think she's so popular, at least among other actors, because she's had a really great career that's encompassed iconic teen flicks (Cruel Intentions), mainstream comedies (Legally Blonde), successful rom-coms (although I'm not a fan of them), mature dramas (Walk the Line, Wild), and is a fierce ambassador for women on screen (fighting for Laura Dern, her own production company to make Little Lies). Many feel like she's been around forever and seen it all.
Agree that arrest set her straight. Past Reese was dreadful. I would give her a hopefully well done HBO show with Nicole, because frankly that is the best I can do for them at the moment!
A starring role in a great Woody Allen movie.
Considering Reese is also friends with Naomi Watts, I need Nicole, Reese, Laura and Naomi to form the ultimate Actress Squad that we all jealously watch from afar.
Cannot wait for Big Little Lies.
Reese achieved a lifetime pass in my books with Election. That is an underrated performance. I wish she would do more similar comedies with good scripts. She has great comedic skills, and she's excellent at portraying irony. Maybe that's why some people think her as a superfluous person. The 60 min interview of her shows her to be actually quite smart, humble and with great emotional depth. I wish her always success and nothing but happiness in her life.
Her captivating presence!
